STOP THE TSUNAMI RELIEF, OUR DOLLARS CAN DO BETTER

As of this writing, one-third of American households have donated to one of the many organizations providing Tsunami relief in East Asia.

STOP!!

Perhaps Americans should donate their money to their local soup kitchens, local schools or religious institutions. There is plenty of moral and social depravation occurring in our country everyday.

Ask yourself... what are you doing to stop drugs and gang violence occurring within the 50 mile area near your home? What have you done to remove homeless kids from the state’s authority where they get lost, as was the case in Florida not too long ago?

We should consider that some of the people who will wind up receiving Tsunami relief are Muslim extremists who hate Christians, Jews and most especially, Americans.

Moreover, not even wealthy Muslim countries such as Saudi Arabia have been willing to offer the same kind of assistance as Americans.

Several of these countries refused assistance by the Israeli Search and Rescue Team right after the disaster occurred. For those readers who are unaware, this search and rescue team has even trained the United States Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in disaster relief.

If President Bush had asked his father and President Clinton to dedicate this much time and effort into convincing our citizenry and businesses to donate their hard-earned money to local and national causes, imagine how much better our country could be? We could possibly eradicate diseases, Cancer or gang violence.

There are only two real reasons the U.S. Government feels compelled to aid the Tsunami-stricken countries.

First of all, we are too concerned with improving our relations with foreign countries whose people would rather see us dead than receive our help.

Secondly, big business wants to keep the factories working in order to keep their stock prices up.

I have an even better idea, let Bush 41 and Clinton 42 raise funds to train American workers so they can properly compete in the Modern, “ownership,” global economy, especially since they’ll never see the inside of a factory ever again.
