Obama, Secretary Napolitano and Inspector Clouseau – The Axis of Cluelessness in
the War on Terror

In trying to understand this administration’s surreal attempts to counter “man-caused disasters,” comparisons abound – Jerry Lewis, Don Knotts as Barney Fife, Steve Martin in “The Jerk,” Perhaps the most instructive is Peter Sellers as the hilariously bungling Inspector Clouseau in the second Pink Panther movie, “A Shot In The Dark.”
Investigating a murder at a French estate, Clouseau explains his technique to his underling, Hercule: “Facts, Hercule,
facts! Nothing matters but the facts. Without them the science of criminal
investigation is nothing more than a guessing game.
Listen to me, Hercule, and you will learn something. Now then, the facts in the case are: The body of the chauffeur was found in the bedroom of the second maid
(Maria Gambrelli). Fact! Cause of death: Four bullets in the chest. Fact! The bullets were fired at close range from a .25 caliber Beretta automatic. Fact! Maria Gambrelli was discovered with the murder weapon in her hand. Fact!”
After further explaining that Maria Gambrelli and the deceased were lovers, that he beat her frequently, that he was leaving her and that everyone else in the household had an air-tight alibi, Clouseau asks: “Now then, Hercule, What is the inescapable conclusion?”
Hercule: “Maria Gambrelli killed the chauffeur.”
Clouseau: “What? You idiot! It’s impossible. She’s protecting someone.”
Hercule: “How do you know that?”
Clouseau: “Instinct!”
Substitute ideology for instinct, and that explains Obama’s farcical attempts to keep Americans safe from airborne Nigerian Muslims trying to earn their 72 virgins.
Consider the knee-jerk our president has put in charge of the Department of Homeland Security
(DHS), Janet (“the system worked”) Napolitano – increasingly referred to as Janet Incompu-tano.
In the former Arizona governor, Obama found the perfect useful idiot to head the $50-billion department, whose 200,000 employees are
charged with preventing occurrences like the near-downing of Northwest Flt. 253 on Christmas Day.
Napolitano and her boss are in perfect synch.
In a March interview with Der Spiegel, Napolitano explained why she preferred “man-caused disasters” to “terrorism.”
“This is perhaps only a nuance, but it demonstrates that we want to move away from the
politics of fear toward a policy of being prepared for all risks that can occur.” Fear implies that there’s something to be afraid of – like an ism posing as a religion with millions
of followers ready to kill for the cause. Fear inspires action – flight or
fight. DHS, under Napolitano, much prefers that Americans sit back and wait for
their government to screw-up in assessing said risks, thereby putting them at
risk.
In an April interview on CNN, Madame Secretary revealed that one reason this administration gives a low priority to apprehending illegal aliens is because “crossing the border
(illegally) is not a crime per se.”
Apparently, Napolitano never heard of 8 U.S.C. 1325, which makes illegal entry into the United States a misdemeanor for the first offense and a felony for subsequent offenses. By not even trying to secure our southern border, Obama is facilitating the entry of Muhammeds and Husseins, (with a song on their lips and murder in their hearts) along with all of the Miguels and Hernandos.
Also in April, Napolitano’s alleged Office of Intelligence and Analysis issued a 9-page report (“Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment”) which warned of an emerging terrorist threat from Americans concerned about “the possible passage of new restrictions on firearms,” extremists who are critical of “free trade agreements,” xenophobes convinced that “illegal immigrants” are “taking away American jobs,” and activists involved with conservative social causes, such as opposition to abortion and same-sex marriage. If anyone else was doing this, it would be called profiling.
Strangely, the Office of Intelligence and Analysis overlooked the potent threat from the wild-eyed radicals who think Obama’s health-care plan would fund abortion and lead to the rationing of medical services – who, even now, are at hidden
camps within the Washington beltway, being trained in such terror tactics as
sending out call-your-Congressman faxes.
The report (withdrawn under criticism) admitted that there was no evidence that these groups planned to carry out
acts of violence. Still, the threat was very real, we were told. Unlike that coming from, oh, say the American Muslim community – which provides a seemingly endless supply of jihadists eager to whack an infidel for Allah.
Is it a coincidence that all of the groups libeled in Napolitano’s report overwhelmingly vote Republican,
while nearly 90% of U.S. Muslims voted for middle-name Hussein in 2008?
Which brings us to the latest man-caused almost-disaster – the attempt by a Nigerian Muslim to blow up Flt. 253, from Amsterdam bound for Detroit.
In the same Der Spiegel interview, Inspector Napolitano bragged: “Our policies will be guided by authoritative information. We also have assets at our disposal now that we did not have prior to 9/11.” None of which kept a Nigerian on a terrorism watch list from boarding a U.S. flight with an
explosive device.
True to form, following the incident, Napolitano insisted “the system worked.” (The operation was a success
– but the patient was almost blown-up in mid-air.) When her initial response was met by peals of uproarious laughter, Napolitano amended it to, “Our system did not work in this instance.”
In a December 30 guest editorial in USA Today, Napolitano managed to discuss the attempt to murder almost 300 passengers aboard Flt. 253, “allegedly” by Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, without using the words: “Islam,” “Muslim”
or “jihad.” The secretary was following in the politically correct footsteps of her boss, who described Abdulmutallab as an “isolated extremist.”
Later, Obama heroically admitted, “A systemic failure has occurred.” Do tell?
Prior to the incident on Flt. 253, Al Qaeda’s Yemeni branch was boasting of a coming attack by a Nigerian Muslim. Just because U.S. intelligence was aware that Abdulmutallab (a Nigerian Muslim) spent months in Yemen on two separate occasions, and that his father warned the U.S. embassy in Nigeria that his son had been radicalized and then disappeared – but was still allowed to board a U.S.-bound flight
– is it really fair to describe this as a “systemic failure” of our security apparatus? Did the Titanic spring a leak? Is Tiger Woods less than monogamous?
But the foregoing pales in comparison to the president’s do-a-little-two-step over the Ft. Hood massacre.
Speaking at a memorial service for the 13 Americans who lost their lives at the Texas Army base, Mr. Obama confessed that he was frankly mystified. “This is a time of war.
(The president won’t say who or what we’re fighting, other than ‘extremists’) And yet these Americans did not die on a foreign field of battle. They were killed here on American soil, in the heart of this great community. It is this fact that makes the tragedy even more painful and incomprehensible.”
“Incomprehensible”? – you bet. Why, it had been months since an American serviceman was killed on U.S. soil by a Son of the Prophet (at an Arkansas recruiting center in July).
“Incomprehensible” would suggest that there’s no way to understand the motivation behind the crime.

Now then the facts in this case are: Major Nidal Malik Hasan was a fanatical Muslim. Fact! He attended a radical mosque in Virginia and was a follower of a jihad-spouting imam. Fact! As a psychiatrist at the Walter Reed Army Hospital, Dr. Hasan tried to convert his patients to Islam. Fact! He told his colleagues that “Muslims have a right to rise up against the U.S. military.” Fact! He spoke approvingly of Muslims who would “strap bombs on themselves and go into Times Square.” Fact! He handed out copies of the Koran before the killings and shouted ‘Allah is great’ while he pumped round after round into his fellow soldiers. Fact!”
“Now then, Hercule, What is the inescapable conclusion?”
Hercule: “Hasan was inspired by Islam to kill 13 people in cold blood.”
Inspector Napolitano: “What? You idiot! It’s impossible. The tragedy is incomprehensible!”
What’s really incomprehensible is that – after 11 months with Obama and Napolitano in charge of our national security – all of our cities haven’t been reduced to smoldering rubble and our military bases turned into free-fire zones.
Obama’s policies here could have been designed by the American Civil Liberties Union, Code Pinko and Ibrahim Hooper of the Council on American-Islamic Relations.
Obama is moving to close Gitmo, has disavowed enhanced interrogation (his Attorney General is exploring the possibility of prosecuting Bush administration officials for breaches of international law – like getting crucial information out of terrorist suspects).
He's considering court-martialing three Navy SEALs for reportedly roughing up a
terrorist they apprehended.
He’s treating terrorists, with the blood of Americans on their hands, like common criminals – giving them trials in civil courts, where crafty criminal-defense attorneys can leap through loopholes to get them off. You can be sure Abdulmutallab, who’s now in a federal lockup in Detroit, was properly Mirandized at the time of his arrest.
Israel has been ordered, repeatedly, to end the occupation of its own territory and hand over the land to the terrorists of Fatah and Hezbollah.
The White House puts out press releases preening that another Muslim has been appointed to a top post in the Department of Homeland Security.
Obama's nominee to head the Transportation Security Administration says he looks
forward to "joining" TSA with a major union, so big labor can do for airport
security what it did for U.S. automakers. And 9/11 has been turned into a Day of National Service, to get our minds off the pesky reality that the same mentality that murdered 3,000 Americans 8 years ago grows stronger every day.
Then there’s the massive revisionism involved in rewriting American history to
marginalize the religion that stands in the way of Islam’s worldwide conquest.
According to our president, while America has “a very large Christian population, we do not consider ourselves a Christian nation, or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation” and “Whatever we once were, we’re no longer a Christian nation.”
Moreover, “We will convey our deep appreciation for the Islamic faith, which has done so much
(jihad) over so many centuries (anti-Semitism) to shape the world for the better
(infidels), including my own country (9/11).”
“Listen to me, Janet, and you will learn something. Now then, the facts are: In 2002, John Muhammad (a convert to Islam), killed 10 Americans in sniper attacks. Fact! In 2003, Sgt. Hasan Akbar killed 2 officers and wounded 14 others with a rifle and grenades at a U.S. military base in Kuwait. (In his journal, Akbar said he would have to choose between killing his fellow Muslims in battle and butchering his comrades.) Fact! In 2001, Anglo-Jamaican Richard Reid (AKA, Abdul Raheem) tried to blow up American Airlines Flt. 63, on route from Paris to Miami, with plastic explosives hidden in his shoes. Fact!
In 2006, British police arrested 24 suspects in a plot to detonate liquid explosives on at least 10 transatlantic airliners. Those involved in the massive conspiracy were native-born Brits with names like Ahmed, Assad, Arafat, Waheed and Mohammed. Fact!
Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad opened fire at an Arkansas recruiting center last July, killing one serviceman. Fact! The five ex-cons arrested in May 2009 and charged with planning to blow up synagogues in New York City are religion-of-peaceniks. Fact! According to an undercover operation by the Center for Security Policy, of the 100 mosques it surveyed, three out of four preached hatred of America, Christians and Jews. Fact!
What is the inescapable conclusion?”
Napolitano: "Islam is the religion of peace. Jihad means 'spiritual struggle.' America is no longer a Christian nation. We need to move away from the
'politics of fear.' And 'We will convey our deep appreciation for the Islamic faith, which has done so much over so many centuries to shape the world for the better, including my own country.'
Now, please excuse me. We’re staking out some really desperate characters at the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, and the Family Research Council.”
