RE: Withhold U.S. dues to the UN Disarmament Commission
I was distressed to learn that Iran has been voted a seat on the UN Disarmament Commission, which is a little like appointing a sewer rat to the Board of Health. In fact, Iran is now the Vice Chair of the Commission.
The UN has put Iran in a position where it can block any attempt on the part of peaceful nations to curb Iran’s nuclear buildup.
Last week, Iran’s representative to the Disarmament Commission called the allegation that his country had a nuclear weapons program “Jewish propaganda” made up by the “Jewish lobby.”
Iran’s President Ahmadinejad was more blunt: "Like it or not, the Zionist regime is heading toward annihilation," he said. "The Zionist regime is a rotten, dried tree that will be eliminated by one storm."
He also boasted that Iran has already trained 40,000 suicide bombers to unleash on America and Britain if we try to stop their nuclear buildup.
As you know, Senator Norm Coleman has proposed that the U.S. withhold U.S. dues to the Disarmament Commission to protest this outrage. Currently, Iran is the most dangerous nation in the world. Anti-American and anti-Semitic, its UN delegates are already making a travesty of the Disarmament Commission. I urge you to support Senator Coleman in this response to this travesty.

On Friday the United Nations is scheduled to initiate discussions on sanctioning Iran for its refusal to curtail its nuclear ambitions.
And just who are Kofi "Soprano" Annan and his boys at the UN trying to fool.
The United Nations has no intention of taking any REAL or substantive action to stop this growing menace!
(Remember Iraq -- the UN passed resolution after resolution... refused to enforce the resolutions and funneled Oil for Food money under the table to Iraq.)
In fact -- how's this for duplicity and hypocrisy?
Did you know that while the UN was making a big show of admonishing Iran, Annan bared his jackal’s fangs and snarled at America and its allies and gave Iran a key position on the UN Disarmament Commission -- that's like appointing a sewer rat to the Board of Health?
And did you know that the very first thing Iran did -- while advancing their own nuclear ambitions -- was to call for the disarmament of Israel? Can you believe it!
It should be obvious that the leaders of Iran know that Kofi Annan and his boys at the UN are firmly in their corner.
That's why Ali Larijani, Iran's chief nuclear negotiator almost laughingly issued the following threat:
"If you impose sanctions, Iran will suspend its relations with the [IAEA] agency... Suspension means we will accelerate our activities."
That's why Iran’s president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad -- who was identified by the American hostages in Iran from the 1970s as one of their captors -- is boasting that Iran has already trained 40,000 suicide bombers that can be unleashed on America and Britain if we try to stop their nuclear buildup.
So Ahmadinejad -- an identified terrorist -- has given the United States two options: crazy terrorists blowing themselves up at Disney World or -- a little later -- crazy terrorist making mushroom clouds over our great cities.
Do you think Annan and his boys will come to our rescue? No way!
Make no mistake, Iran is a threat that must be dealt with; but until that day comes -- and it may come sooner than later -- we need to send Iran, the UN and the rest of the world a clear message so there can be no confusion as to where we stand.
And Senator Norm Coleman has already proposed that message. He's calling for the U.S. to withhold its dues from the Disarmament Commission. Way to go, Senator!
We need to stand with Norm Coleman. Because if we can't take this very small step to set the record straight NOW -- not only will we send Iran and the world the wrong message -- our political leaders WON'T have the political will to act LATER!

Here’s what Senator Coleman had to say:
“It is no surprise that the Iranians have already started their campaign against Israel at the Disarmament Commission. Member states have not only allowed for the continued discrimination against Israel, but also refuse to take action to prevent Iran from acquiring the means to carry out its destructive agenda.”
You see. Kofi Annan’s UN has put Iran in a position where it can block any attempt on the part of peaceful nations to curb Iran’s nuclear buildup.
At this rate, in a few years an Iranian with an atomic warhead can sneak across our Southern border and blow up Chicago or Atlanta or L.A. or all three.

Here’s something you may not know: Iraqis don’t blow themselves up for the love of Allah.
Virtually all the suicide bombers in Baghdad and elsewhere come from Saudi Arabia, Syria, and most of all – from Iran!

Iran takes comfort from this attitude and from its new position of power in the UN.

Is there any connection between Sudan and Iran, other than the fact that they’re both Muslim nations that are officially anti-Christian?
You bet there’s a connection – a chilling similarity that should give any American good reason to support Senator Coleman’s resolution.
In 2001, the United States – which had been a member of the UN Commission on Human Rights since its establishment in 1947 – was not reelected.
But guess who was voted a seat on the Commission.
